This Door Supervisor Refresher course is specifically designed for existing licence holders who need to renew their certification and update their skills in line with current industry requirements.

Course Duration

The course at Wolfmere Security Academy of Learning is completed over two days.

Required Qualification

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Must hold a valid or recently expired Door Supervisor licence

Level 2 Award in Door Supervisor Refresher Training within the Private Security Industry

Qualification Aim and Objectives

In accordance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001, this refresher qualification meets the updated training requirements set by Wolfmere Security for licence renewal.

The course is designed to refresh learners’ knowledge, enhance their practical abilities, and ensure they are fully aware of current legislation, safety protocols, and best practices within the industry.

It is ideal for individuals already working in the private security sector or those whose Door Supervisor licence is due for renewal.

Certification delivery time: 10 to 15 working days.

Entry Requirements

Learners must:

  • Hold a valid or recently expired Door Supervisor licence
  • Demonstrate competency in English (both spoken and written)
  • Be physically able to perform practical intervention techniques
  • Understand and respond effectively to instructions and assessment tasks

All learners must be at least 18 years old, in line with Wolfmere Security requirements.

Combination Requirements

To achieve the qualification, learners must successfully complete all mandatory refresher units.

  • Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor (Refresher)
  • Physical Intervention Skills (Refresher)
  • Safety Awareness and Updated Industry Practices

Course Delivery

The course includes approximately 16–20 hours of guided learning, delivered through a combination of classroom sessions and practical training.

As per Wolfmere Security standards, all learning hours must be completed through direct contact with a qualified trainer or during supervised assessments.

Assessment Process

Assessments are conducted in line with current industry standards and requirements.

  • Multiple-choice examinations to assess updated knowledge
  • Practical assessments to evaluate physical intervention skills

The Physical Intervention unit includes:

  • Practical demonstration of techniques
  • Observation and evaluation by a qualified assessor
